Team USA advanced to the IWBF Wheelchair Basketball World Championship game with a 71-61 win over Team GB in the first of the two semifinals at TD Place Arena in Canada’s national capital region.

Team USA was down 10 at the half 37-27 and came out on fire in the second half.

Courtney Ryan led Team USA with 20 points and 7 assists in the victory.

The U.S. will meet host nation Canada who upset 2024 Paralympic Champion The Netherlands in the other semifinal, in the Gold Medal game on September 19th.
