Gia Pergolini returns to action at the 2026 Para Pan Pacific Championships

The 2026 Para Pan Pacific Championships will take place in Southern California.
Mt. San Antonio College is proud to welcome the 2026 Para Pan Pacific Swimming Championships to the Aquatics Center from Friday, August 28 through Sunday, August 30, 2026. This prestigious international competition will bring together many of the world's top para swimmers for three days of elite competition on the Mt. SAC campus.
Athletes representing the United States, Canada, Japan, Australia, New Zealand and Brazil are expected to participate, showcasing world-class talent and elite international competition. Faculty, staff, students, alumni and community members are invited to be part of this historic event as Mt. SAC welcomes exceptional athletes from around the world to compete at the highest level.
Admission is free.
GIA will compete on Saturday and Sunday. 1 event Saturday and 2 events on Sunday is the tentative plan. A native of Atlanta, Georgia, the 2x Paralympic Champion is on the road to LA 2028.
Important Facts about the Meet
• The 2026 Para Pan Pacific Championships is a Long Course international competition.
• This meet is open to swimmers from the United States and International athletes from non- European nations with a national or international sport class.
• To compete in A and B finals, an athlete must have an International Classification status of Review (R), Fixed Date Review (FDR) or Confirmed (C).
• Any athlete on a New (N) Status in the competition may only swim in heats and exhibition C final.
• All athletes must hold an active World Para Swimming license for the 2026 season.
Current World Para Swimming Rules and Regulations will govern this meet. U.S. Paralympics Swimming shall have jurisdiction over all matters not assigned by the rules to the referee, judges or other officials and shall have power to postpone events and give directions consistent with rules adopted for conducting any event. It is the responsibility of swimmers and coaches to acquaint themselves with all of the information contained in this meet information document.
