Kaitlin Willoughby captures her F1RST Walter Cup as the Montréal Victoire defeats the Ottawa Charge 3 games to 1

The Montréal Victoire defeated the Ottawa Charge 4-0 in Game 4 of the Walter Cup Finals to capture their first Professional Women’s Hockey League championship in the 3rd season of the league.
The Saskatchewan native, forward Kaitlin Willoughby in her 3rd PWHL season captured her F1RST Walter Cup with Montreal. This season saw her score her first PWHL goal, a game winner at Canadian Tire Centre in the regular season and on the night that she won her first championship it was at this same rink in Kanata, Ontario which is the home of the NHL’s Ottawa Senators.
In her PWHL career, she has played 79 regular season games and 18 playoff games. Kaitlin has played in the PWHL Walter Cup playoffs each season in Toronto and now 2 seasons in Montréal.
In her PWHPA and CWHL days, she won a PWHPA Secret Dream Gap Tour with Team Scotiabank in 2021-22 and in the final year of the CWHL with the Calgary Inferno in 2018-19 she won the final awarded Clarkson Cup at Coca Cola Coliseum.
Kaitlin is a graduate of the University of Saskatchewan with a nursing degree. In her PWHL off-season she is a traveling nurse. She becomes the first woman from the Province of Saskatchewan to win the Walter Cup. Fellow Walter Cup finalist, Emily Clark of the Ottawa Charge was the first to compete in the Walter Cup Finals during 2025 vs the Minnesota Frost.
