February 19, 2026 — Milano Santa Guillia Ice Hockey Arena - the main event is on with the World Ranked 1 vs 2 at the Winter Olympic Games battling it out for Olympic GOLD.

The United States has won all of their games in the tournament only giving up a sole goal in the 2nd period of the 1st game vs Czechia and thrown ZEROS on the board to an OLYMPIC RECORD for both women and men along the way. Going into the Gold Medal match it is over 332 minutes.

Canada’s sole defeat in the tournament was to the United States in the last game of round robin play. Canada has bounced back with QF and SF wins to set up the match today.

Client Kelly Pannek for the United States had the primary game winning assist in the semifinal win over Sweden. The Sweden SF victory was a 20 years in the making grudge match as the U.S. only time not going to the Gold medal game was when they were upset in a shootout to the Swedes at Torino 2006, 90 miles away from Milano at Palasport Olimpico.

All three women (Renata Fast & Emily Clark - CANADA & Kelly Pannek - USA) playing tonight have both suffered an Olympic Final loss and the thrill of an Olympic Championship vs the other in 2018 and 2022.

HISTORICALLY the OLYMPIC GOLD MEDAL GAME between the two teams looks like this 2006 Canada defeated Sweden for GOLD:

1998 - USA

2002 - CAN

2010 - CAN

2014 - CAN

2018 - USA

2022 - CAN

2026 - ?
