Team USA captures first World Championship Gold in W Wheelchair Basketball since 2010

Team USA’s Womens Wheelchair Basketball team won their third WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP in the history of the program dating back to their victory in the inaugural event in 1990 and their last title in 2010, today in Canada’s national capital region over the host nation 77-76. Both Canada and the United States entered the Gold Medal Final undefeated.
Canada’s tandem of Kady Dandeneau and Arrin Young led the team 64 of Canada’s 76 points. The United States had a more balanced scoring attack with all but 2 points scored by four members of the team Lindsey Zurbrugg with 26, Courtney Ryan and Rose Hollerman with 17 and Ixhelt Gonzales with 15 points.
Client Courtney Ryan now in her career has won World Championship GOLD & BRONZE alongside Paralympic Games SILVER & BRONZE for Team USA.
