U.S. Para Nordic Skier Sydney Peterson closes out the FIS Para-Cross Country World Cup season with GOLD in Poland

Sydney Peterson (hometown - Lake Elmo, Minnesota) won her 2nd consecutive FIS Para-Cross Country World Cup Gold medal in the 10 km Mass Start Standing Classic in the last World Cup race of the season before the Milano Cortina 2026 Winter Paralympic Games.

Sydney’s time was 49.9 seconds faster than the Silver medalist from Germany and 2:37.2 faster than her U.S. Para Nordic teammate who won Bronze.

The U.S. Para Nordic team will travel back to the United States on Monday. Sydney will be back at the University of Utah in Salt Lake City working on her PhD program in Neuroscience along side all of her training ahead.
