Ashley Sessa at 2026 FIH Hockey World Cup in Belgium and The Netherlands

Forward Ashley Sessa and her Team USA women’s national teammates start pool play of the 2026 FIH Hockey World Cup with matches vs:

  • World Ranking #2 ARGENTINA (Saturday August 15) - 11:30 am EASTERN [1-1 Draw]

  • World Ranking #14 SCOTLAND (Monday August 17) - 5:00 am EASTERN

  • World Ranking #5 GERMANY (Wednesday August 19) - 8:00 am EASTERN

  • 2nd Pool Play (Saturday August 22) - game TBA

  • 2nd Pool Play (Monday August 24) - game TBA

  • Placement & Semifinals (Thursday August 27) - games TBA

  • Finals (Saturday August 29) - games TBA

The United States entered the tournament world ranked at number 11 as of March 2026. All games are streaming on CBS Sports Network and on the FIH Hockey streaming platform.

Ashley entering the tournament had made 62 caps for Team USA at the age of 22. She joined the USWNT in 2021 and has been a main stay with the squad ever since first while attending UNC where she won a national championship her freshman year and then left school to centralize with the WNT in Charlotte on their quest to try and qualify for PARiS 2024 which happened after their top 2 finish at the Pan American Games where they won Silver which qualified them for the last chance tournament in India which Team USA finished 2nd that allowed them to punch their ticket for the first time in 8 years and make it to the Summer Olympic Games.

After PARiS 2024, Ashley has won BACK-TO-BACK NCAA National Championships at Northwestern University where she has earned All-American honors both years, B1G Ten Offensive Player of the Years, set the single season record at NU and led the nation in scoring.

Beyond this event, she will return to Northwestern University for her senior year.
