Lacey Eden throws first pitch at Washington Nationals game

Before tonight’s Nationals vs. Marlins game, PWHL Las Vegas forward Lacey Eden threw out the ceremonial first pitch as part of Women’s Night at Nationals Park. The Annapolis, Md., native played ice hockey for the University of Wisconsin and is a member of the U.S. Women’s National Team. She won four NCAA championships with Wisconsin (2021, 2023, 2025, 2026), the most by any player in program history, and was drafted fifth overall by Las Vegas in the 2026 PWHL Draft.

As part of Women’s Night, the Nationals and NWSL’s Washington Spirit teamed up to highlight women in sports on the field, in the stands and in the front office. Fans who purchased a special ticket to the game, received a Nationals x Spirit co-branded sweatshirt. Fans at the ballpark also enjoyed photo-ops, live music, craft stations, a mini wellness workshop and other themed activations. Nationals players and families hosted their annual Favorite Things Fundraiser benefiting programming at the Nationals Youth Baseball Academy, featuring baskets with players’ favorite items ranging from hometown snacks to an espresso machine.
