Para World Cup Nordic season resumes in Finsterau, Germany

After the customary holiday break, the FIS Para Snow Sports World Cup season resumes with 2 upcoming events in Germany and Poland.

Client Sydney Peterson will make her World Cup season debut after an injury derailed her in Canmore, AB and was able to rehab and recover while back at the University of Utah where she is working on her PhD program in Neuroscience.

Sydney will take part in 4 events on January 14, 15, 17 & 18 in Finsterau, Germany in Nordic Cross Country Skiing. Two 10km races, a 1.5km sprint event and a 4 x 2.5km relay will be on tap on the final day of action.

Following this event, they will move on to Poland for both a FIS World Cup and an IBU Biathlon World Cup. The IBU Biathlon World Cup will be Sydney’s debut event in trying to add this to her Paralympic program at Milan 2026 Winter Paralympic Games.
